Compassionate Cymru works with communities in Wales to understand their lived experience of caring for people at end of life, death, and bereavement, and of loneliness and isolation, and provide appropriate support – from helping co-design services which are more inclusive, to facilitating involvement of the community in providing support for people who are dying or bereaved.
Action in Caerau & Ely (ACE) is a community developed charity owned and run by the residents of Ely and Caerau in West Cardiff. It was set up to develop and deliver a range of different projects and activities to regenerate and improve the local communities of Ely and Caerau.
As part of Good Grief Connects, Compassionate Cymru will work closely with ACE on a project to support minoritised ethnic communities across Wales with grief.
